چکیده

Summary: Burns are skin damage caused by heat trauma or cold (frost bite). Causes include fire, hot water, electricity, chemicals, radiation, and (frostbite). This may involve subcutaneous tissue. Burn injuries associated with high incidence prevalence, risk of morbidity mortality, resource-intensive, costly. One the most common complications in burn patients is acute kidney injury (AKI). The mechanism early AKI after multifactorial, previous studies have mainly focused on oxidative stress injury, tubular apoptosis, systemic local inflammation. Previous results (from our group others) suggested that ROS-induced apoptosis play an important role development due to 24 h useful for observing changes injury. It shows it provides timeframe. Kidney function levels apoptosis. Astaxanthin (ATX) a naturally occurring carotenoid readily obtained from marine organisms stronger antioxidant effects than other carotenoids. Given critical secondary renal inflammation severe burn-induced AKI, protective ATX through its anti-inflammatory potential mechanisms action post-burn reasonable.

Astaxanthin protects against early burn-wound progression in rats by attenuating oxidative stress-induced inflammation and mitochondria-related apoptosis

Burn-wound progression can occur in the initial or peri-burn area after a deep burn injury. The stasis zone has a higher risk of deterioration mediated by multiple factors but is also considered salvageable. Astaxanthin (ATX), which is extracted from some marine organisms, is a natural compound with a strong antioxidant effect that has been reported to attenuate organ injuries caused by traumat...

Astaxanthin Attenuates Early Acute Kidney Injury Following Severe Burns in Rats by Ameliorating Oxidative Stress and Mitochondrial-Related Apoptosis

Early acute kidney injury (AKI) is a devastating complication in critical burn patients, and it is associated with severe morbidity and mortality. The mechanism of AKI is multifactorial. Astaxanthin (ATX) is a natural compound that is widely distributed in marine organisms; it is a strong antioxidant and exhibits other biological effects that have been well studied in various traumatic injuries...

Acute kidney injury after burn.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and morbid complication after severe burn, with an incidence and mortality as high as 30% and 80%, respectively. AKI is a broad clinical condition with many etiologies, which makes definition and diagnosis challenging. The most recent Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) consensus guidelines defined stage and severity of AKI based on changes of...

Protective Effect of Edaravone Against Cyclosporine-Induced Chronic Nephropathy Through Antioxidant and Nitric Oxide Modulating Pathways in Rats

Background: Cyclosporine A (CsA) is an immunosuppressant with therapeutic indications in various immunological diseases; however, its use is associated with chronic nephropathy. Oxidative stress has a crucial role in CsA-induced nephrotoxicity. The present study evaluates the protective effect of edaravone on CsA-induced chronic nephropathy and investigates its antioxidant and nitric oxide modu...

Differentially expressed miRNAs in sepsis-induced acute kidney injury target oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction pathways

OBJECTIVE To identify specific miRNAs involved in sepsis-induced AKI and to explore their targeting pathways. METHODS The expression profiles of miRNAs in serum from patients with sepsis-induced AKI (n = 6), sepsis-non AKI (n = 6), and healthy volunteers (n = 3) were investigated by microarray assay and validated by quantitative PCR (qPCR). The targets of the differentially expressed miRNAs w...
